Washington-USA — All Department of Veterans Affairs facilities and clinics that administer COVID-19 vaccines accept eligible Veterans, spouses and caregivers.
This service ensures that all Veterans enrolled in VA healthcare and those authorized under the LIFE SAVE Act have the opportunity to receive a VA COVID-19 vaccine at a convenient time for them.
This effort supports the president’s goal of delivering at least one vaccine to 70% of the US adult population by July 4th. The urgency to vaccinate as many eligible individuals as possible remains a priority for VA.
“VA encourages those who want to get the COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment to check the schedules and requirements at their local facilities,” said Acting VA Under Secretary for Health Richard Stone, M.D. “ Individuals taking advantage of walk-in vaccinations may need to wait for the vaccine to be prepared and will be screened when entering the facility.”
VA vaccinated more than 2.7 million people, including more than 60,000 people under the LIFE SAVING Act. For more information on COVID-19 vaccines in VA, click here.
VA vaccination clinics are not open 24 hours a day. A mask is mandatory for all and physical distance measures will be applied. (visit the site)
